Coronavirus Updates

This page has been designed to provide up-to-date information, guidance and advice with regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Understandably, many people are very concerned about Covid-19 (Coronavirus). This is my absolute priority at this time, and issues and queries related to Covid-19 are being dealt with first in my office.

If you have an urgent personal issue related to Covid-19, I will deal with it as quickly as possible: please include a telephone number in case my team needs to call you.

On May 10, the Prime Minister outlined the next stage of the fight against coronavirus, with new guidelines for all of us:

Stay alert

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

·Stay at home as much as possible

·Work from home if you can

·Limit contact with other people

·Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

·Wash your hands regularly

·Self-isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

I would like to reassure you that the government is doing everything it can faced with this crisis, with decisions made based on the best possible advice from the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientific Adviser.
